Main Duties:
- To develop and maintain an elegantly appointed environment, with superior colleagues, dedicated to an attentive, distinctive experience for all dining periods.
- To hire, train, supervise and discipline all the outlet colleagues.
- To observe daily conditions of all physical facilities and equipment in the outlet; make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
- To forecast covers and revenues and then schedules colleagues accordingly
- To communicate with the Chef and Food and Beverage Director / Manager to discuss menus, marketing strategies and guest comments and concerns.
- To understand all food and beverage items offered, including ingredients, methods of preparation and proper service.
- To promote good public relations and handle complaints or concerns of guests.
- To handle all inventories directly involved with the operation of the outlet.
- To lay out target and develop strategies to accomplish outlet goals.
- To keep colleagues informed about hotel policies and changes.
- To manage and control overall expenses of the outlets focusing on higher revenue and profit.
- To work in co-operation with the Chef De Cuisine to ensure top quality and fair prices and to see that below standard items are never accepted or served.
- To plan and execute special events / promotions for the outlet
- Ensures targets set by the company are met (i.e JD Power, LQA, HACCP, COS, Revenue)
- Monitor and analyse the products of competitive restaurants, to maintain a competitive advantage
- Perform any other duties that management may reasonably require.
About You
Qualifications:
- At least college level or equivalent
Experience:
- At least 2 years work experience as Outlet Manager in a Fine Dining Restuarant
- Preferably worked in a 5 star luxury hotel
- Experience working in Kuwait or Middle East
Skills:
- Excellent Management skills
- Proactive, Creative and Attention to details
- Excellent Public Relations and Communication Skills
- Competent in English and knowledge of Arabic Language will be an advantage
- Competent in using Micros, Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-cultural environment.
