The Role

The accountant is responsible for processing accounting transactions for our wholesale and retail clients. Assist in the month-end closing process, prepare reconciliations, follow-up payments, reporting, and other duties as assigned.

Report to: Chief Accountant 

Work closely with: Sales and Warehouse teams

Duties and responsibilities:
- Maintains financial records for the retail and wholesale operations by analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts;
- Prepares journal entries debits or credit accounts in ledgers.
- Accounting for sales and collections, follow-up for the timely collections with clients.
- Coordinates and liaises with the sales team and the warehouse team
- Performs month-end adjustments and reports
- Reconciles bank accounts
- Generates MIS reports on sales and receivables
- Perform other duties as required by the head.

Requirements

- Masters/ Bachelors Degree in Commerce/ Finance/ Accounts.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role
- Retail or F&B industry is highly preferred
- Expert in ERP/ MS office
- Knowledge of general accounting transactions
- Excellent communication skills and English command
