PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assist Sales & Marketing Department in developing their social media and content strategy across existing and new platforms including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Vine, LinkedIn, Google Plus and Foursquare.
- Monitor online platforms and communities to report on new trends and existing conversations around EHG brands.
- Assist in reviewing social media / digital campaign performances and make recommendations for improving media campaign with the Sales & Marketing Manager and Corporate E-Commerce Manager.
- Provide reports to analyse monthly social media engagement statistics. Keep the Marketing and Communications team up-to-date by researching and evaluating upcoming social media tools.
- Maintain accurate information across different digital platforms and constantly update these platforms with new content.
- Ensure online brand identity is protected and manage website content of the hotel and other units under hotel’s management.
- Support the establishment of e-marketing calendar and assist different hotel department in maintaining their customer database.
- Participate in online workshops, conferences and networking opportunities to keep abreast with trends in the digital / marketing field.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Candidates should possess the following characteristics and skills to be considered for the position:
- Degree in marketing, e-business, Marketing or a related field with a minimum of 2-3 years’ work experience in a digital / social media role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic language skills are a plus.
- Experience in using multiple social media platforms including but not limited to: Facebook, Google Plus, Foursquare, LinkedIn, YouTube, Vine, and Instagram.
- Experience in using social monitoring tools such as Radian 6, Google Analytics, Tweet Reach, Hootsuite, etc.
- The candidate must have an engaging and creative writing style, with the ability to adapt content for different social media platforms.
- Sound judgment and confident in making quick decisions in a fast moving environment, whilst managing relationships and requests with tact, diplomacy and persuasion.
- Strong time management and strong multi-tasking skills.
- Flexibility to work beyond regular working hours to support business objectives.
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Functional knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and Adobe Photoshop.
- Familiarity with content management systems such as Tridion.
- Ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side and experience with search engine optimization best practices, search marketing, social media optimization and related analytics.
- Experience with working in cross-functional teams and interactions with media agencies, graphic designers, usability experts.
