Security Officer will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

1. Ensure the overall safety and security of the hotel guests, Colleagues and hotel premises
by walking surveillance rounds and patrol all of the Hotel’s areas.
2. Respond rapidly to requests for emergency and non-emergency assistance in a professional and hospitable manner 
3. Ensure that ‘Fire Exit’ doors are kept free of blockage at all times and ensure that fire and safety equipments are in their right places 
4. Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service to staff members and hotel guests
5. Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way 
6. Report and investigate occurrences of accidents, complaints, criminal activity, and crisis situations 
7. Conduct departmental key control audits and maintain key control records 
8. Maintain computer records of all actions in a Daily Activity Report 
9. Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team, responding in cases of fire, accident, safety concerns and calls for medical assistance 
10. Respond to all emergency situations and provide First Aid and C.P.R. as required 
11. Conduct regular spot checks to guest floor patrols, cash counts and crowd control. 
12. Be familiar with location of fire alarms and fire fighting equipment
13. Maintain a surveillance of those areas that are frequented by guests and all work areas
14. Ensure checks are conducted on fire panel, fire hose real outlets and fire barriers and all other safety equipment and ensure that all are in good working order
15. Report all hotel property deficiencies and safety or security hazards
16. Obtain all loss reports, investigate, follow-up and determine course of action 
17. Detect safety-threatening situations and irregularities like unwanted visitors, mutilation or aggressive behaviour 


Job Requirements:

1. 2 to 3 years previous experience in a security role in a luxury brand hotel chain
2. Must hold Department of Protective System (DPS) required by Dubai Police Academy 
3. Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required 
4. Certification in CPR First Aid required 
5. High School Graduate
6. Must possess a professional presentation 
7. Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities 
8. Highly responsible & reliable 
9. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment 
10. Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team 
11. Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
