Commis 2 is needed in well established steakhouse in Dubai

The Commis 2 main duties will include:

  • Maintain a clean and healthy working environment
  • Must be able to present tasting items, dressings, sauces, etc. before both lunch and dinner service on time when required to do so by a senior chef.
  • To carry out any reasonable instructions / duties as directed by the those senior to you
  • To assist the Sous Chef / CDP in rotation of stocks and correct storage procedures, ensuring the appropriate stock levels are managed
  • To carry out any reasonable instructions/duties as directed by those superior to you. Must have a good attitude and have respect towards other colleagues
  • Attend trainings whether internal or external as and when required.
  • To report any defects in machinery and equipment immediately to your senior in charge
  • Should understand ingredient preparation
  • Another duties as may reasonable be requested by the management

About You

In order to be considered for this role, you should have Tertiary Education or Diploma in Culinary Arts Management and Minimum of 1 year experience in a Kitchen helper role within a Fine dining Culinary background or standalone/branded restaurants

This is a very "hands on" and demanding position so it is paramount that you work well in a team but are also able to set standards and lead by example at all times. You must be comfortable working under pressure and be passionate about producing cuisine of the highest possible standards.

It is also essential that you have good command of the English language (spoken and written) and you should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
