The Role
Regarded as one of the region's leading retail groups who have and continue to expand new retail stores concepts throughout the GCC in 2015 across a number of their fashion, footwear and department stores concepts. Reporting to the Head of Projects you will be tasked with driving the growth of new and refurbishment of existing retail shops within the lower Gulf region based in their head office in Dubai.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Head of Projects you will be tasked with rolling out multiple new retail shop concepts in line with the International Brand partners store requirements and for the refurbishment of existing shops
- Taking a blank drawing you will liaise with the Brand Partner in gaining sign off on the new store dimensions, fixtures & fittings, project delivery through your team and managing the project through to store opening
- Liaising with local municipality authorities, local contractors and shopping mall developers ensuring approvals are received
- Oversee the production of store design through your contractor
- Building relationships with the preferred shop fitting contractors throughout the region to ensure delivery on time and planning is effective
- Ongoing people management and leadership and able to manage multiple sites / projects at once
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years commercial experience in Project Management of which you must have 2 years recent Retail Shop Design / Fit Out either from a Retail group or Contracting Company
- A Degree or tertiary qualification in Architecture Design or Construction / Civil Engineering is essential
- Good overall understanding of working with multiple shop / site rollout and liaising with the business customer on delivery
- Strong understanding of CAD drawings, interpreting design, fixtures and fittings and strong attention to detail and delivery on time
- Proven experience of managing 3rd party construction and review of materials and suppliers
- An understanding of the Gulf Government municipality departments & retail shopping Mall requirements
- Excellent management, planning, delivery focused approach towards quality assurance and delivery in line with brand design
