Documentation Control Specialist

The primary role of this position is to develop manufacturing documentation to support the efficient and quality assembly of electronic and electromechanical products. This position also works closely with and in support of manufacturing process engineering.

Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating new process and product documentation.
  • Review, manage and implement engineering change requests (ECRs), job exception notices (JENs/TDs) and all process changes.
  • Initiate and implement activities which will positively impact the efficiency and quality of the documentation group.
  • Provide feedback regarding process improvement ideas.
  • Ability to manage customer Service Bulletins via the internet.
  • Provide support to the manufacturing process engineers.

Job Requirements

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Good computer skills; working knowledge of the following: Word, Excel, E-mail, AutoCAD, Solidworks, Digital Camera use and photo manipulation, and label making applications.
  • Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and associated parts list from a Bill of Material.
  • An understanding of process control and lean manufacturing methods.
  • Ability to self-direct.
  • Desire to work as a member of a team.
  • Very detail oriented and excellent organizational skills.

Education & Experience Required:

  • Technical degree or equivalent work experience.
