POSITION DESCRIPTION

Raytheon is seeking a highly qualified, experienced GIS Analyst.

Responsibilities: Seeking a GIS Analyst for work in the Washington DC metro area. This analyst will provide, on a daily basis, geospatial-intelligence (GEOINT) support to the intelligence community in support of worldwide operations. Primary duties include providing topographic/terrain and geospatial analysis. Military or defense-related experience and an understanding of operational planning is a strong plus.

This position can be a Salary Grade E03 or E04 based upon the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.  

Requirements: Successful candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree (advance degree desirable) plus a minimum of 5 years experience or equivalent education and experience. A minimum of 2 years experience working in or for the military or US Government is required. Experience working with NGA, DIA, or CIA is a strong plus.

Candidates must be US Citizens and possess an active Top Secret clearance with SCI access and a Polygraph.

Desired Qualifications:

• 5+ Years for the Mid-Level Geospatial analyst and 15+ years for the Senior Level Geospatial Analyst of expanding experience in Geographic Information System (GIS) software tools and databases used to perform geospatial analysis. 
• Ability to analyze disparate geographic datasets; convert between various geodata formats; enter, update or modify database information and review the results for accuracy as well as applicability, fuse multiple data sources into a single product, and prepare customized reports.
• Able to present clear and concise information and responsive to Requests for Information (RFI) from a variety of sources, such as, walk-up, instant message, email, wiki, blogs, etc.
• Bachelor's degree in geography or related degree.
• Reading ability in Russian and/or Ukranian is preferred but not required.
