Job Description
Our company is looking for a smart, data-driven Marketing Specialist for our new customer acquisition program, email campaigns and traffic channels.
The Marketing Specialist leads marketing execution for the company. In this role, you will work both at a strategic level identifying ways to scale our operations worldwide, and at the tactical level by executing campaigns with site merchandising tools, analyzing traffic data, and solving problems. This role has a focus on traffic channels and works with multiple internal teams to grow the business. This position requires close collaboration with design, technical and business teams. Therefore, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence using data and logical/persuasive argument.
While this role requires a lot of “hands on” implementation, you’ll also analyze metrics, course correct based on data and report on performance. You will constantly be looking for new and better ways to do things with lots of testing, learning and iterating. The right candidate will invent and simply, dig into the details to drive results and be creative to find new opportunities. This person will provide input to our product manager to improve our systems and tools.
· Site merchandising and demand generation support for the company.
· Execute the New Customer Acquisition program and report on key program metrics.
· Manage gift card catalog and selection updates. Work closely with Product Manager to automate catalog management process.
· Manage payments to design content providers Hallmark, American Greetings, Manifesto.
· Develop glance view reporting metrics in collaboration with our BA/BI team.
· Execute and manage metrics of automated GC emails, event mass mails, promotion offer emails.
· Key owner of Associates, Sponsored Links, Free Search and Social Media.
Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree
· Strong quantitative analysis, problem solving and project management skills
· Familiarity with HTML, XML, plus the ability to learn our in-house tools quickly
· 2+ years writing or editing consumer-facing content, or demonstrated ability to write clear and concise copy.
· 3+ years of utilizing Excel for analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
· Demonstrated time-management skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
· History of successful project leadership requiring coordination of cross-team resources and persistence to accomplish goal.
· Bias for action while effectively prioritizing competing work request.
· Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast paced environment.
· 3+ years of executing plans and performing the quantitative analysis necessary to inform future decisions.
· Experience with SQL a plus.
