The Role

Reporting to the Senior Director Licensure and Accreditation, the Quality Manager will champion, support and lead quality improvement initiatives for the organization. 

The manager, through collaboration and coordination with key organizational executive leadership and relevant stakeholders, is responsible for implementation of the Quality and Patient Safety Program. 

The manager will lead the Quality department team, and work to ensure that all managers, process owners and supervisors within the organization are provided with the appropriate education, tools, and support to develop and maintain their roles and responsibilities of the quality management program. 

The Quality Manager will facilitate and support the Environmental Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS) program and the Infection Control Program to best meet the needs of the organization and the Hospital.

- Takes the lead role in matters relating to the annual development of the Quality and Patient Safety Program and its implementation for the Al Noor Khalifa Hospital. 
- Ensures a collaborative and cooperative approach with the executive leadership and all relevant stakeholders in the implementation of the Quality and Patient Safety program. 
- Provides oversight, facilitates and supports the Environmental Health and Safety Management System program (EHSMS) and the Infection Control Program and plan. 
- Ensures the compliance to regulatory and accreditation/certification surveillance requirements, as well as those required for the hospital and the entity under the Quality and Patient Safety Program. This includes the appropriate communication of surveillance data, to organizational leadership, relevant stakeholders and regulatory organizations as needed. 
- Responsible for developing with the executive leadership, the quality goals and targets in line with the organizations strategic plan and in keeping with the Al Noor hospital Group mission vision and values.
- Responsible for the management of documents pertinent to the Quality program, for example ensuring the appropriate review and update of policies and procedures Ensures that processes needed for the quality management systems are maintained.
- Plans and organizes internal quality auditing activities within the organization to ensure continuous compliance with regulatory and strategically desired certifications, licenses and accreditations. Ensure that non-compliance issues are communicated to appropriate stakeholders and work with leaders and team members to facilitate and support their being addressed 
- Promotes quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization and the Al Noor Hospital Group, including working with a collaborative and supportive approach to sister facilities.
- Ensures compliance with national and international quality standards as well as relevant legislation and regulatory bodies of the Emirate and the Nation. 
- Defines processes and procedures in conjunction with clinical, non-clinical and administrative staff.
- Brings together staff of different disciplines and driving the group to formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures.
- Ensures that there is Collation and analyses of performance data against defined parameters, with the identification of priorities for attention and follow up.
- Identifies quality related education needs as relates to the achievement of the quality program, EHSMS and Infection control programs for the Quality department and members of the organization, and address those accordingly.
- Ensures execution of corrective actions and ongoing compliance working with clinical, non-clinical and administrative services.
- Ensures the performance of the Quality and Patient Safety Program is reviewed to maintain adequacy, effectiveness and continuous stability.
- Supports the organizational orientation/induction programs for all new comers and or internal/departmental ensure that all new joiners are educated and informed into the requirements and philosophy of the Quality and Patient Safety Program

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree in Health Care or related field, Masters degree preferred
- Higher professional qualifications in Health Care Management or Quality management is an additional advantage
- At least 5 years experience in quality management. Experience in the healthcare industry would be a definite advantage (Private or Public sector)
- High level of verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain solid working relationships
- High level of analytical and auditing skills 
- Facilitation and presentation skills
