PURPOSE OF POSITION To ensure the smooth conduct of the shift through customer- focused service delivery and effective staff supervision. To assist management in running the outlet ensuring maximum guest satisfaction, consistent standards,through planning, organizing, directing and controlling the bar operation and administration. KEY ROLES &RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise day-to-day bar operations adhering to service standards
- Assist management by creating weekly duty roster
- Handling of guests complaints in a timely and effective manner
- Checking of guests’satisfaction and proper handling of feedback and follow-up
- Report complaints,incidents or any other irregularities to Management
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned (check list)
- Conducting daily shift briefings to update and disseminate relevant information to bar employees
- Ensure that all operating equipment, service and storage areas are maintained properly
- Help minimize waste,neglect, breakages and mishandling of supplies and equipment
- Carry out light cleaning and maintenance of the pantry area
- Monitor quality of beverage products in every single order
- Attend all meetings and training as requested by Management
- Perform trainer tasks and conduct staff training as assigned by Manager
- Help manage and followup on employees’ performance appraisals
- Check on employees’discipline, grooming standards and punctuality; provide coaching
- Assist in employees’development, counselling and resolving staff conflict
- Maintain complete knowledge of all F&B services, outlets, hotel services/features
- Handle cash following established and proper Accounting procedures
- Assist other Food& Beverage Outlets in their operations within peak times when needed
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- Excellent reading,writing and oral proficiency in English
- Experienced in allaspects of bar service
- Must be well-presentedand professionally groomed at all times
- Excellent leader and trainer with strong interpersonal skills to deal with diverse staff
- Ability to motivate employees to work as a team effectively and productively
QUALIFICATIONS Post Secondary schooleducation or Hotel Management Schoolgraduate EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 - 3 years hotel experience with at least 1 year in similar role in luxury hotel
- 1 year food andbeverage experience
- Previous public contact and/or cashiering experience
