PURPOSE OF POSITION
To be responsible for the overall condition of the kids club and ensuring maximum efficiency, safety and uncompromising attention to kids using the facility through the use of the daily kids activity calendar.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Maintains cleanliness and report deficiencies of the kids club facility
· To notify the Loss Prevention of any accidents or problems that may arise.
· Plans ahead and prepares for activities for the kids according to the activity calendar
· Ensure all kids using the kids club are registered on arrival by a parent or guardian
· Organizes lunches for the kids if requested by parents
· Maintains the facility in peak sanitary condition at all times
· Maintains rooms in a tidy manner
· Maintains linen inventory to and from laundry on a scheduled basis
· Items belonging to residents which may have been misplaced need to be handed in to ‘Lost and Found’ at Housekeeping (for non-valuable items) and Loss Prevention (for valuable items) as part of hotel policy.
· Attends weekly/monthly facility operations departmental communications meeting
· Understands and adheres to departmental emergency procedures and safety practices
· Contributes to maintaining positive relationships within the Recreation department and other departments in the hotel
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
· Good English language verbal communication skills. French speaking ability is also preferred.
· Ability to work cohesively with co-workers and managers as part of a team
· Ability to be attentive to kids needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
· Desire to provide phenomenal experiences for all kids.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience with children activity planning required
· Certification in Child CPR and First Aid required
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
· Highly responsible & reliable
· Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
· Ability to focus attention on kid’s needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Physical Aspects of Position:
Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following:
· Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
· Occasional lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
· Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, sitting
· Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
EXPERIENCE
· Minimum 1 year experience in hospitality industry with kids activity coordinator experience.
