Senior IT Developer (ETL/Hadoop)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Research and analysis of production issues
• Develop and support utility software
• Perform implementation and support duties as required
• Address job failures
• Work with teammates, clients and other teams to identify and address systems problems
• Provide in depth consultation to application teams on operational considerations
• Assist in defining standards, guidelines, best practices and metrics
• Leads operational initiatives to achieve key business objectives
• Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business
• Translates complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences

Qualifications:Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in applicable area of expertise
• 3+ years of Linux/Unix experience working with Shell Script and/or Perl Script
• 2+ years of ETL experience using Datastage or similar tool
• Experience with a work flow automation tool or Job Scheduling tool such as TWS or Autosys
• Data Warehousing concepts and techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of relational database experience
• 5+ years of experience with analysis, design and development experience within SDLC
• Previous experience with UnitedHealth Group
• Healthcare Industry experience
• Bedrock experience preferred
• Strong understanding of Hadoop fundamentals.
• Platform experience such as Pivotal, Horton Works, MAPR preferred
• Proficiency with MS Visio
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
