Job purpose

Reporting to the Crew Scheduling Manager, the position will be primarily responsible for:

  • To fully assist the Crew Scheduling department in managing published Flight Deck and Cabin Crew rosters.
  • Ensure crew rosters remain legal in accordance with GCAA CARS sub part Q and Chapter 7 of Manual A.

Job outline

  • To make on a 72hour basis short term plans to obtain optimum utilization of manpower within GCAA rules and company policies.
  • To ensure all company's flights departing DXB base station are crewed by Flight and Cabin Crew Personnel to the standard manning levels as stipulated by In-flight Service Department.
  • To receive and action message regarding Flight Schedule changes, update and amend crew pattern via Aviant.
  • To administer all messages with regard to Schedule changes due to marketing and /or operational requirements for the current published rosters, develop revised crew patterns and enter changes in Aviant.
  • To assign Flight Crew duties ensuring all crew comply with GCAA mandatory legalities and company requirements. This includes the areas of Flight Crew Training.
  • To ensure all Flight Crew are carefully managed in respect of duty hours, decide and evaluate through careful judgment of duty time, the best pilots to assign trips to.
  • To monitor and action sickness, and no shows and produce daily sickness and no show reports for the Crew Scheduling management.

Qualifications

  • Education to ‘A’ level or equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years experience in Flight / Cabin Crew Scheduling with a reputable airline.
  •  Knowledge of airline operations; and computerized crewing systems, preferably Aviant Crew Tracking System.
  •  In-depth understanding of complex regulatory requirements in relation to crew planning and scheduling is essential.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
