WE are currently looking for a Resort Head Chef to lead the team at their intimate, luxury boutique resort, which feature 4 dining venues.
THE ROLE
Accountable for the overall success of the daily kitchen operations.
Reporting to the Resort Manager
Exhibits culinary talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff and managing all food related functions.
Works to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing the financial performance in all areas of responsibility.
Supervises all kitchen areas to ensure a consistent, high quality product is produced.
Responsible for guiding and developing staff including direct reports.
Must ensure sanitation and food standards are achieved.
Areas of responsibility comprise overseeing all food preparation areas (e.g., room service, restaurants, bar/lounge and employee cafeteria) and all support areas (e.g., dish room and purchasing).
Reporting to the onsite Hotel Manager and Executive Chef at a nearby sister resort
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Male or female from a European cuisine background and aged between 28 and 40 years old
An ambitious and creative chef who would like to have his first international Head Chef experience
Ideally single though couples will be considered with the partner also working in the resort (no kids)
Past experience working in fine dining / gourmet restaurants within hotels & resorts preferred
