About the Role:

Main Duties:
•Provide professional service in terms of transportation both as a light vehicle driver and Desert Safari driver

•Ensure all lost and found items are deposited to Security Department immediately upon receipt.

•Set an example for all Drivers in regards to punctuality, grooming, courtesy, attitude, team work, guest relations 

•Ensure no delays in vehicle movement and that guest are picked up and dropped off on time.

•Closely monitor performance of all drivers to ensure safety of vehicles and guests is maximized.

•Prepare and advance duty schedule for Drivers and pass it to the Transport Manager for approval.

•Prepare the airport transport schedule for the Drivers, assign the vehicles accordingly and fax a copy to the Airport Desk.

•Renew all vehicle insurance and registration documents on time and follow up where necessary.

•Ensure to record all trips in the vehicle log with accurate mileage and destination each time they take a vehicle.

•Complete a check list for each vehicle every day and report any damage to the Transport Manager immediately.

•Ensure to report to duty on time and are well groomed and that they carry their license at all times whilst on duty.

•Have close communication lines to the Airport Desk, Garage and the Concierge to ensure efficient operation.

•Ensure that all vehicles are maintained well, serviced regularly, kept clean at all times and filled with fuel and batteries are charged.

•Report any faults of the vehicles to garage and ensure it gets repaired in a timely manner.

•Coordinate any additional transport requests; assign a Driver and vehicle according to the existing schedule.

•Ensure that all limousines are stocked according to the standard with cold towels, newspapers, hotel brochures and CD’s.

•Ensure that the Drivers are on schedule and keep the vehicle ready for the guest well in advance.

•Prepare and carry out shift handover and to ensure that the desk is left tidy and that all work has been completed.

•Comply with the Meydan group and Bab Al Shams health, safety and hygiene policy and maintain grooming standards.

•Manage the performance of colleagues through constant feedback and coaching, counselling and discipline as needed.

•Identify and provide training or other activities to colleagues in order to equip them to meet the standards .

•Ensure colleague training is documented appropriately.

•Ensure all guest comments are passed on to the Transport Manager in a timely manner.

•Act as a sales person of all Meydan properties and products.

•Perform any related duties and special projects as requested by the Manager.

About You:

Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience as a hotel driver.
