BUSINESS ANALYSIS MANAGER

Job Purpose / Accountabilities
Under the direction of VP Commercial Products Dubai, create the capability and infrastructure which enables our business to systematically collate and analyse the quantitative and qualitative drivers of commercial performance on 3rd & 4th Sectors (Dubai). The roles will play an integral part in realising the full potential of data and its capability to drive actionable insights throughout the commercial organisation.

 ·Examine and evaluate commercial performance at an individual point-of-sale level. Develop methodologies to track segment performance, at both a channel and customer level, and highlight any opportunities to further optimise revenue/yields.

 ·The role designs scalable data structures, develops cross functional reports and tools, and engage commercial stakeholders using this information architecture as the tool between each commercial function.

 

·Provide market intelligence and sales leads to local and regional management teams by routinely monitoring travel/ air cargo trade and news media in the region, ensuring that competitive market threats and opportunities can be identified as they arise. Source and share reports from the field, airport authorities and other external parties to provide further industry insights.

 

·In conjunction with Corporate Communications ensure that advertising briefs are produced in a timely manner, aligned with the critical sales activities, and contain appropriate level of detail. Work with Corporate Communications and senior management to understand the effectiveness of product/route promotion on revenue generation, with a view to sharing best practice across the region.

 ·Liaise with Planning, Interline Pricing and regional management teams / Global sales to create opportunities in markets. Recommend appropriate sales strategies for the identified market segments to senior management.

 ·Represent Commercial Products Dubai at internal meetings and external agency; CIP; trade and industry meetings; as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate preferably in a Business or Commerce discipline.
  • 8+ years in an airline industry; related to commercial operations in a Marketing or a Business Analysis environment with experience in compilation and analysis of relevant commercial data.
  • Must possess broad understanding of customer behaviour and market trends and also be able to gauge market dynamics and proactively propose tactical initiatives based on factual information in a timely manner.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to produce and analyse reports of a high quality.
  • Understanding of customer & market segments; and their specific requirements.
  • Ability to recommend revenue enhancement measures using sales tool; such as Skywards and corporate deals.
  • Ability to multi-task and work across various departments with strict deadlines is critical.
  • Good working knowledge of all internal commercial systems is essential.
