Purpose Statement:

The Test Engineer will be required to test the mistral software as instructed by the Test Lead. The position requires:

• Excellent attention to detail
• Flexible and pressure resilient
• ISTQB certified (foundation)
• Knowledge of multiple test design techniques
• Commitment to continuous improvement.
• Very good spoken and written English.

The Test Engineer will have at least three year’s testing experience. The post holder will work as a member of a small and dedicated test team and focus on the validation of functional and non-functional software requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
The Test Engineer will be responsible for:

1. Following the test plan created by the Test Lead. This is to find the defects in the developed software and report them in the most efficient manner.
2. Create test specification documentation based on risk assessment.
3. Other tasks assigned by Test Lead, e.g.
   1. Document reviews. (Requirement documentation, test designs, ..)
   2. Test Process Improvement actions (test tools creation, ..)

One Test Engineer (designated by the Test Lead) is responsible for taking over the Test Lead’s tasks if the Test Lead is away.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• To be able to work independently and methodically,
• A pro-active attitude,
• Good communication skills,
• Good in English (oral and written),
• ISEB/ISTQB Foundation qualification (or equivalent)
• Working knowledge of test techniques!
• Networking experience preferable.
• Scripting experience preferable.
• Knowledge of networks and broadcast systems preferable.
• Knowledge of digital television / Set Top Boxes preferable.
