Revise and maintain with all flight personnel all Aeronautical and Navigational documentation used in each aircraft and operational office environment; in a timely matter. In addition; to maintain inventory of hard disk for Electronic Flight Bags (EFB's) and supervise updates are carried on board.
Job Outline:
- Monitor; coordinate; control and revise without guidance or supervisions (and Liaise with external suppliers) the Aircraft Route Manuals; Aeronautical Information Publications (AIPs); Aeronautical Information Circulars (AICs); Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs); and other reference documents; for both line & simulator operations.
- Apply knowledge to review and interpret relevant flight information documentation (e.g. received from chart vendors); in order to identify areas of 'critical to safety of flight' issues pertinent to specific Company flight operations - and use this information to prioritize the associated flight documentation exchange process; working up to several weeks 'ahead'; where circumstances so require.
- Liaise with Flight Operations Training to ascertain the flight simulator documentation requirements; specify this to the Chart provider to ensure that the training departments' objectives and requirements are met.
- Set a calendar and manage regular quality checks to ensure the integrity of the Aircraft Route Manuals are maintained. Manage contents of individual State AIP publications in a similar manner for quality; including AIP Supplementary and AICs.
- Maintain aircraft fleet on-board libraries with the latest revisions of relevant flight crew documentation (Flight Management System route list; Flight Crew Instructions; CAT II/III All weather operations pages; Aircraft Blank forms folder) in an appropriate and organized manner; and in support of Flight Operations documented requirements.
- Produce; without supervision and using acquired knowledge; tailored flight documentation trip kits and crew briefing documentation/data for Delivery; Charter; Ferry or Ad Hoc flights; in compliance with Company and Regulatory requirements and in accordance with a specified route plan.
- Control the logistical process of urgent requirements from flight crew; for replacement of flight documentation; which is critical to the safety of flight.
- Ensure a staffing roster is created and maintained each week to make sure that sufficient staff are available to maintain; Aircraft Route Manuals; Simulator manual; State AIP's and to complete invoice verifications.
- Supervise; control and conduct on the job training for staff.
- Maintain inventory of hard disk For Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) and supervise updates are carried on board.
Qualifications & Experience
- Flight Operations.Other : 5+ Years
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)
- With General airline experience; including experience at a supervisory level.
Knowledge/skills:
- Experience in document control a must. Experience in content; layout and revision procedures for aeronautical manuals would be preferable.
- Able to work under pressure of deadlines with a high quality output & with distractions.
- Must possess good oral; written; and interpersonal skills & be computer literate.
- Must hold a valid UAE driving license.
