Spa manager in worldwide luxury hotels and resorts

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Operations, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
  • Promote a positive work environment for all colleagues.
  • Direct and lead the day to day Spa operation ensuring all standards are followed

  • Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecast for the Spa & Salon

  • Ensuring productivity and expense controls are followed to maximize revenue opportunities

  • Deliver the highest customer service to our guests and “turn moments into memories”.

  • Promote and sell customized Spa programs to conference groups and individuals

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of competitors; including location, product offering, pricing, promotion and sales techniques

  • Submit monthly reports as required

  • Ensure team members are familiar with all areas of the Spa operation, including product knowledge and retail sales

  • Schedule staff based on occupancy, hotel activity, and capture.

  • Ensure training and re-certification is taking place consistently for new hires and senior colleagues on all phases of work, guest engagement, services, activities, policies and procedures, LQA, and Fairmont Standards.

  • Assists guests with all requests, i.e. reservations, special requests, coordination of Programs, group activities, and Club member activities.

  • Maintain labor costs within budgets as directed by the financial budget of the hotel and department.

  • Ensure operational efficiencies in line and minimizing costs and expenses and ensuring SOX compliant.

  • Assist in the recruitment, development and training of all colleagues in the department

  • Follow departmental policies and procedures

  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience is an asset
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required

  • Previous experience with SpaSoft an asset

  • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

  • Highly responsible & reliable

  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

 

Visa Requirements: Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States
