Our Client, established in 1995 in Dubai is the exclusive distributor for casual and trendy Italian, British and Asian fashion brands and accessories
The company directly operates over 25 retail stores for these brands in the UAE, with an overall distribution network of over 50 mono-brand stores and premium department stores across the region.
Our client is seeking a Line Specialist reporting to the Wholesale Manager
Key role is to develop the sales of dedicated lines of merchandise and protect the brand identity.
Key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Responsible for development of new business avenues by visiting potential clients and developing a referral network to help increase the client base in order to meet and exceed financial targets.
- Responsible for the preparation of the showroom for sales campaigns by coordinating with the different departments (Logistics, IT, Marketing), in order to ensure that the showroom is ready on time for the start of the sales campaign and in line with the standards set by the supplier.
- Responsible for the maintenance and maximization of the existing business by placing seasonal orders with clients, and providing an efficient exchange and replenishment program in order to ensure that assigned sales budgets are met and exceeded.
- Responsible for the management of relationships with existing clients by assisting in various customer service issues, organizing regular store visits (mono and multi brand), keeping them informed of new product developments and providing after-sales support, in order to ensure that lasting and mutually fruitful relationships are maintained.
- Responsible for supporting the clients by (1) training staff on understanding product lines and consumer profiling, (2) analyzing best & worst-sellers and stock level reports, (3) identifying dead stock (reasons for the same and possible solutions), (4) communicating with the VM team to ensure compliance with brand guidelines and buying strategy and (5) facilitating new store openings, in order to ensure highlevels of customer service.
- Responsible for collection of market intelligence with regards to competition, price positioning etc by conducting regular market surveys and analyzing the information obtained in order to assist with key business decision making and protection of brand image/trademark.
- Responsible for providing reports for both clients and suppliers by maintaining record files with photographs, compiling after sales reports, preparation and negotiation of budgets etc in order to support the business, both internally and externally.
Requirements
- Highschool
- 2 years Middle Eastern experience mandatory
- Good spoken and written English, knowledge of Arabic would be advantageous
- Good working knowledge of MS Office/Outlook
- Knowledge of the middle eastern culture and markets
- Knowledge of competition within the Middle East
