For our pastry kitchen we are currently in search of filling the position of Pastry Chef. The primary objective of this role is to execute all aspects of Food & Beverage Production within the assigned section, according to hotel policies and standards, in order to allow every guest to experience excellent service.
Job Role & Responsibility
• To ensure there is proper set up of each item on the menu & buffet
• Complies with all relevant Health & Safety and Food Safety standards
• Working under supervision of the Executive Chef
• Ensures the food prepared in the kitchen is of highest quality and standards
• Ensures proper staffing and adequate supplies for all the stations
• Training and development of the team working under him/her
Candidate Profile
• Conversant in English
• Experience of 5 years in renowned Hotel at similar position or capacity
• Strong knowledge of pastry /bakery, large banquet experience is a plus
• Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Modern approach & creative in his/her way at carrying out the job
• Knowledge of HACCP & Computer Literate
• Have the ability to cope with pressure
• Good team player, flexible and enthusiastic
• Computer literate
• Passion for food
