Job Description:

The Manager, Concierge ensures all guests are given warm, friendly, courteous, efficient and informative service while supervising the operation of the Concierge department. He/she ensures that standards are maintained and guest satisfaction is maximized.

General Responsibilities Include:

• Leads by example through a passionate and hands-on approach
• Establishes personal guest contact and remains informed at all times about any information that may be useful for the guests
• Assists with Human Resources functions such as training, hiring, disciplinaries, performance evaluations, counseling etc.
• Maintains a good relationship with various sources of hotel patrons
• Assist in the control and analysis of departmental costs while contributing to the compilation of annual budgets

Skills/Knowledge Required:

• Strong communication skills in English, knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
• Leadership as well as management and financial skills
• Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment with a positive can do attitude
• Well versed in the use of computers and knowledgeable in Opera

Qualification Standards:

Education: Hotel Management Diploma or equivalent hotel-related degree

Experience: Needs to have a minimum of two years experience in the Concierge department of a luxury five star hotel, with at least one year experience in a managerial role

Licenses or Certificates: Preferably a member of Clefs D’Or

Grooming: All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided)
