Title: Strategic Account Manager (B2B Focus)

Spark Growth is looking for an experienced, strategic Account Manager to lead client engagements on a full time basis, focusing on clients in B2B industries including Finance, Medical/Healthcare, and Professional Services. Reporting to the Founder and CEO, the Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing client relationships – your most important job is keeping clients happy and ensuring they continue to see great value from our services! You will also work with the cross-functional team to ensure client objectives are being met, working within budget and identifying opportunities to grow the account. The ideal candidate is solution-oriented, with a proactive approach to all responsibilities and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Your Mission:

To shape brand and executive social media strategy on key accounts, while growing happy client relationships.

This role will include a leadership component. Candidates should value the opportunity to coach junior staff members and look to help further the A-player culture that has been established at Spark Growth. It will include helping to grow the Toronto office team and working with the CEO on special projects and firm management activities.

Note: This role will be complemented by a Studio Manager, who will manage the project from a scope, budget and timeline perspective – your focus will be on the client and strategy, while helping to maintain an appropriate level of service.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with assigned clients ensuring overall happiness and ensuring our value is clearly understood
  • Manage multiple client accounts and support delivery of work in a timely and precise manner
  • Coordinate, execute and oversee strategic delivery of all projects within the given timeframe and budget (supported by a project manager and the delivery team), acting as primary day-to-day agency contact for clients
  • Oversee the development and review of client presentations
  • Identify and present opportunities to grow client relationships, working with the project manager to scope and price
  • Lead, mentor and develop junior team members
  • Ability to communicate key insights and business-impacting results to clients
  • Grow into a leadership role, working alongside the CEO on firm management activities and special projects

Core Qualifications:

  • 5+ years working experience at a digital marketing agency including with clients in B2B industries preferred (but A-player candidates with 3-4 years of experience will be considered)
  • Experience working with clients in finance, healthcare/medical and/or professional services industries is considered an asset
  • Capable of successfully running small to mid-sized accounts with minimal supervision
  • Able to manage client-facing conversations to deliver positive business outcomes
  • Strong understanding of strategic marketing and business principles
  • Maintains an ‘always learning’ attitude. Stays ahead of the industry thinking on emerging digital trends

Expected level of compensation will depend on experience, ranging from $45-65k.
