Physical Therapist Assistant/PTA job description:
This is a PRN position (on-call, as needed)
The PTA performs components of physical therapy procedures and related tasks under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and in accordance with practices of physical therapy. Therapy will be provided with inpatient and swing bed patients in a hospital setting experiencing medically complex conditions and/or medical surgical conditions requiring rehabilitation.
The PTA will deliver treatment according to the established treatment plan, educate patient, family, and staff as needed, accurately document progress toward goals and communicate patient status and needs to patient, family and staff.
