Part-time Staff Pharmacist

The part-time Staff Pharmacist will generally work 30 hours per week, Monday - Friday, with a start time of 7:00 a.m. Some on-call work may be needed.

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides clinical support and drug distribution services in coordination with physician and nursing services in delivering quality and cost effective drug therapy to patients. Ensures that the Pharmacy Department provides optimal pharmaceutical services, meets all legal and accreditation/certification requirements and complies with all pplicable policies, procedures, codes, and standards of the hospital.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and current license to practice pharmacy in the state of Kentucky.

Experience

Previous hospital experience or other educational experience to acquaint individual with hospital pharmacy systems/processes and methods of practice.

Knowledge

Familiar with hospital pharmacy operations ,and state and federal pharmacy laws.
