CNA:

Caverna Memorial Hospital is currently seeking 3 full-time CNAs for 12 hour day shifts 7a-7p. Availability to work holidays and weekends strongly preferred.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Performs a variety of patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.

Is accountable for following oral and written instructions and assignments and realizing that failure to do so could be detrimental to patient care. Is directly accountable to the Registered Nurse (RN).

Moderate to maximum physical exertion by walking and standing most of the time. Lifting and stooping will be necessary. Manual dexterity is required to move and use hands skillfully. Individual must be able to initiate CPR in emergency situations. Duties will vary requiring independent judgment based on knowledge and initiative within the scope of a CNA.

Requirements:

High school graduate or equivalent preferred

Current licensure as a CNA by the Kentucky Board of Nursing

Working Environment:

The primary working environment is in the patient care area. Works with various types of patients including, geriatric, pediatric, critical care and emergency cases. Is subject to exposure to infectious diseases and to combative and confused patients. Scheduling will include working on holidays and weekends.
