Staff Nurse (PRN):

Caverna Memorial Hospital is currently seeking PRN Nurses for 12 hour shifts 7a-7p and 7p-7a. Availability to work holidays and weekends strongly preferred. These are PRN positions, on call, as needed.

 

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

The Registered Nurse (RN) assumes responsibility for the nursing care of an assigned group of patients. The RN will formulate the patient’s plan of care with the guidance of the attending physician, Nursing Supervision, and established policies and procedures. Once formulated the plan of care will be implemented by the RN (to include proper delegation to support staff) in accordance with the scope of practice set forth by the Nurse Practice Act of the Kentucky Board of Nursing (KBN).

 

Moderate to maximum physical exertion, requiring standing, walking and lifting. Manual dexterity is required to move and use hands skillfully when aiding patients and giving treatments. Individual must be able to initiate and maintain CPR in emergency situations. Work requires some independent judgment delivering appropriate individualized patient care.

 

Requirements:

High school graduate or equivalent

Graduation from an approved school for Registered Nurses

Current licensure as a RN by the Kentucky Board of Nursing

 

Working Environment:

Works with various types of patients with a variety of illnesses and injuries. Is subject to exposure to infectious disease. This employee may be expected to work weekends and or holidays as necessary.
