Job Description

We are looking for talented Ruby on Rails developers to join our fast growing software product development team.

You will join our team of engineers developing our SaaS products. You will be working both server-side and client side work, participate in the product direction and feature specifications as part of a team, and focus on delivering products on time that exceed customers’ expectations.  We are looking for independent thinkers who have extensive experience and the ability to design, develop and deploy applications with minimal guidance.  We are a small team and we are looking for people that thrive in entrepreneurial environments.

Qualifications:

• Lots of experience with Ruby on Rails or Clojure or Node.js
• Strong attention to detail and high quality code
• Proactive communicator who can collaborate with other team-members to ensure successful completion of shared tasks
• The desire and ability to learn new skills quickly
• Self-starter who can work independently without a lot of supervision
• Integration skills; means you’ll do deploys and merges every day
• Experience with BDD and rspec
• Experience using Git for version control
• Solid understanding of web security and building secure web apps
• Knowledge designing scalable architectures

Project details:

• Ruby 2.0, Rails 4.0, Faye for real-time behavior, Elasticsearch as full-text search engine
• lots of JavaScript/CoffeeScript, including Backbone usage
• Usage of HTML5 features like video recording
• Various integrations with mobile devices via APIs
